Timed Intercourse

The principle of Timed Intercourse (TIC) is to stimulate ovaries with fertility drugs (usually Clomiphene Citrat-Clomid) in order to produce a small number of eggs, and trigger ovulation by Human Chronic Gonadotrophin (HCG) injection which allow fertilization to occur by natural intercourse.

 

There are three requirements that are crucial for proceeding this treatment, which are:

 

• One or ideally both tubes must be open and patent, and sperm count not less than 15 million/ml
• Infertile period of not more than 5 years
• Recommended to younger patients
